This week we got lots of good stories. IE6 is dead, at least Microsoft is working hard on making it so and you really shouldn’t use IE6 anymore. If you do, you’re a target for viruses, trojans, and other malware. IE6 has more holes than a colander.

We’re back after a month away. My schedule simply didn’t allow for producing podcasts for a while. My recent trip to CES in Las Vegas and working on several new projects turned out too daunting for me.

We didn’t get Daniel on Skype due to Skype incompatibilities between Linux and Windows. Next time we’ll use Google Talk video for Daniel instead.

Windows 7 Premium Contest - Give me a brand/domain name!

Hi everyone, I wanted to start the new year by giving away a license of Windows 7 Premium! I want to start a new site where people will go to learn more about technology. The new site will be different than MrNetcast. It will target folks who are less tech-savvy and the site will provide easy-to-learn topics.

If you submit the winning domain/brand name you will get a brand new Windows 7 Premium license from me.

Watch out for domain / brand names already taken. This will require some research on your part. The name needs to be catchy and does not need to have typical tech words in it. One final requirement is that the name needs to be universal enough to attract international attention, not only for English-speaking nations.

I may not use any of the submissions but if I do, you will get not only the Windows license but also free plugs from me on upcoming shows at MrNetcast.

CES 2011 - Here I come!

First of all I want to apologize for the fact that there has been no shows for a few weeks. It has been a crazy couple of weeks with the holidays and getting prepared for CES 2011.

I’m flying to Las Vegas tomorrow morning to cover CES together with the gang from Techpodcasts Network. We have a special site made just for CES on TPN.TV. Today I have been preparing all the gear and I’m almost packed and ready to go. It is going to be a crazy week.

I will publish articles on this site during the week even though the LIVE coverage will be published on the TPN site. Don’t forget to check out the Back Channel on that site too. It contains behind the scenes videos from the entire team.

I wonder if the big news will be set-top-boxes and tablets like everyone predicts. Regardless, I can’t wait to cover CES and bring you the latest news.

Once CES is over new shows of OS Perspectives will be back on the schedule.
